This recognition, administered by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, celebrates the organizations that prioritize employee satisfaction and engagement in the workplace.
The “Indiana Best Places to Work in Manufacturing” program is a statewide initiative designed to identify and honor companies that create exceptional workplace cultures. This year’s list includes seventeen outstanding organizations that have consistently demonstrated their commitment to valuing their employees’ contributions.
Indiana Chamber President, Kevin Brinegar, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We have many tremendous employers in the state, so it’s great to see more and more companies take part in this effort to evaluate their workplace cultures and gain the recognition they deserve.”
To be eligible for consideration, participating companies had to meet specific criteria, including being a manufacturing operation, a for-profit, not-for-profit business, or government organization with a physical presence in Indiana, and employing a minimum of 15 full- or part-time permanent employees in the state. Additionally, businesses needed to have been operational for at least one year by the program’s registration deadline.
The evaluation process consisted of two parts: an assessment of workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics in the Employer Assessment, worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation, and an Employee Feedback Survey, worth approximately 80% of the total evaluation, measuring the employee experience. These combined scores determined the top companies and their final rankings. Workforce Research Group oversaw the registration and survey process in Indiana, analyzed the data, and determined the rankings.
The final rankings for the “Indiana Best Places to Work in Manufacturing” will be officially announced at an awards ceremony scheduled for December 13, 2023. Following the event, the complete list of recognized companies will be published in the Indiana Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine.
